Aral Balkan has never been much involved with our community, but when we needed a new place to host the site back in 2003, he came and provided us with a cPanel-based hosting service. This allowed me to set up a dozen of subdomains for member homepages and offer e-mail POP boxes and forwarding. His support lasted for 10 years, after which he was retiring the hosting service he was sharing with us.

In the past year Aral has done some great presentations about responsibility in design and about how free is a lie. He's now entirely devoted to the Indie project that he launched a year ago.

And now he's looking for funding to continue this amazing project. I've put in what I could afford, and I thought others here could be interested as well!
