Wow, just had a couple of the worst, most stressful days of my life, and several more to come. Sunday morning my Grandmother had a sudden aneurism (blood vessel bursting in the brain). The doctors said that she probably wouldn't survive the night. The whole family was there at the hospital (and this is my mom's side of the family, the filipino side, so that means a LOT of people) and we were all comforting each other and trying to keep our hopes up, even having casual laughing conversations about random miscellaneous stuff just to keep our minds occupied. Anyway, later in the day the doctor said that she was stable, and there's nothing to do now but wait until Monday morning. So we all went home and slept... err... tried to sleep at least.
Come Monday morning, we had great news! Not only was she conscious and totally responsive, but she was all like "Get these damn tubes out of me!". That aneurism did NOT know who it was fucking with! :)
Anyway, she's going in for an operation first thing tomorrow morning to basically put a little tube in her brain to replace the blood vessel so it doesn't burst again... as far as I know, I'm not sure exactly what is happening since most of my relatives were talking to each other in Tagalog. Her chances are pretty good now, and I know that she's a really tough person (that happens when you grew up in the Phillipines during World War II) so, like, wish her luck and stuff.

Woo hoo! It seems that the operation went smoothly! She's still unconscious from the anaesthesia right now but we'll be able to talk to her and stuff tomorrow. *big sigh of relief*
