I guess nothing's gonna take place, since no one seemed to remember it except me and one other person. It's pointless to just put up two games. Anyways, it got me to thinking about developing an rpg in another old-school style (now hopefully this image works...)
I'm going for a cross between the old AD&D dungeon simulation style, and Shining In The Darkness...
What does anyone think?

Want a win32 implementation of the LOL games? :) This engine is infinitely expandable :) only problem is that right now it's a tad slow since it uses the GDI and the render routine is highly unoptimized...but it's getting faster as I work to optimize the drawing loop. Maybe I'll port it to DirectX eventually...but I have no idea how to do alpha blended bitmapping in DirectDraw so that option might be out until I learn how...

I put them up, along with a few nasty words I was thinking about all the people who let this compo slip their minds. :P And no, I will not make a retraction on my comments...people knew well ahead of time that this compo was coming and didn't seem to care, so screwit. If they don't care then I don't care...plain and simple.

Ah well I'm thinking of having another compo in a few months with the darkboard up and running to replace memories. So don't close the site for a while. Again I'm thinking of having three categories
Fantasy
Noir
Elfpunk
Most of you know about the first two but to the majority of you elfpunk is usually based in a world where magic takes the place of high technology you know like steampunk but with um magic. _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Why do you need the DarkBoard? Aside from advertising? Its poll script can only handle 8 entries, and besides...voting one game best is somewhat lame...I think the games should be voted on by a sliding scale, rather than a simple "this one's the best" "no this one" "no no this one"

No no no no. We use the same site we did last time. That kind of idea the darkboards just for hyping it up, ideas, replacing the skill of memory.
By the way the games looking cool, I relaly like your art style. _________________ Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Well well well. It appears I made a mistake in my compo entry- The intro text gets cut off, and starts with "Taking a walk in the forest." It was SUPPOSED to start before that, but I made it too long... Shame. I'll try to upload the fixed version soon... 'Till then, the missing text basically says that there was once an old mage who was blind, who wanted to see, and was given a gift by the imps, the Magic eye.
Can't wait 'till next year's compo...!
