geez, clear your cache, or somethin.
the entire layout has changed, it is a multi-framed site now,
with MUCH better colors, and the pages are neater (not meaning cool)
I spent a lot of time designing the new layout.
If you don't know what the difference is, then I guess it's for the best.
:)

I thought you might be interested in seeing your site the way I see it, so I took a screenshot: http://cairnhill.sourceforge.net/project_screenshot.jpeg. I'm only leaving that up there for a day or so, though, because I really feel bad about using SourceForge as a storage site. I don't think they'd mind, though, at least I hope not. [edit: the screenshot is no longer up; I just removed it]

As you can see, there are a couple of problems.

Again, I must ask why you insist on doing
Code:
<b>'PROJECT'</b> Is a 100% Data Driven Modular RPG Engine<br>
that is not dependant on the language that the modules are written in.<br>

instead of
Code:
<p><b>'PROJECT'</b>Is a 100% Data Driven Modular RPG Engine
that is not dependant on the language that the modules are written in.</p>

I don't mean to pick on you: I've seen this on a lot of sites, and just don't know why it's done. What's the advantage? Particularly if you have reams of text, it's much less efficient, and it screws up when people don't size their displays as you want them to.

He did, actually, at least when I looked at it. I don't know what's causing those lines. But actually, I would recommend switching frame borders on, and no resize off, at least in the menu section. Disabling resize means that a horizontal scroll bar will always come up when the text exceeds the size of the frame, and I think horizontal scroll bars are really, really poor (vertical's fine, though). If you can resize the frame, you can get rid of that bar yourself; also, if you can resize the frame, you can get it out of your way in order to cram more text on the display at a time, if you so choose.

I never like white text on black background, I find it garish and strenuous on the eyes, but many other sites do it, so I guess it can't be that bad.

Finally, your site says it was "Last Modified on January 1, 1970 GMT". I don't know JavaScript, so I can't help you out with why it's doing that.

Sorry to say so many negative things, but they are all fairly easy to fix, and I think your site would benefit a lot by doing so. The underlying structure of it seems to be fine.

Thank you Jihgfed Pumpkinhead.
You're screnshot opened my eyes to the fact that not everyone views the web as I do.
(yeah I knew this before, but I never really, THOUGHT about it.)

Anyway, I'm going to change the color scheme after I post this msg.
As for the frameborders, I can't figure it out. The HTML checker said everything was OK, and it displayed without borders IN the editor.. but once I uploaded, it was messed up.
I checked the source on the server, it was the same.
As for the Last modified date thing,
I need to take it out, cause my server doesn't like that one particular variable. :\
So thats going to go too in about 10-15 minutes.

Thanks again for the suggestions.
Oh, one more thing, I'll fix the
things.. If I can.

oh, one more thing.
the site looks BEST in msie 4.0++
It looks ok, in opera, but opera doesn't support
css for controls. (aka the textarea tag)

anyway. new colors (easier on the eyes Pumkin?)
heh. well... need to get some other things fixed.
I guess I fixed the br problem..
and those frameborders.
heh.
FrameBorder="0" AND Border="0" are needed.
in BOTH frame and frameset.
geez.

btw, I'm trying to setup a phpbb on my site,
but I'm getting an error when I click the install button,
'cannot connect to database'

I don't understand what this damned error means.

I've got a DB, named ccps_phpbb2
and I've got a user for the DB,
and I entered all the info correctly in the phpbb install screen
but I can't get it setup.. maybe someone experienced would help me??
*please*

The new colours are much, much nicer.

I'd still recommend a more structural and less visual approach, but that's because I'm a structure wienie. Really, I am; XHTML gives me goose-bumps (heh, we structure wienies don't get out much, we get our kicks however we can).

It looks better than it did, but the article about rpgs has giant blank areas in between paragraphs in mozilla.

The whitespace was put there on purpose, to keep each section from being seen, without clicking the navigation links.

I trid it without the space, and it looked bad.

Don't use frames....first I had used frames, too, but then I decided to go over to tables. I think they look much better
