hey, does anyone know how to run it? i downloaded the demo eagerly, but to my disappointment, it will not run. it sez "Please wait..."
then it says "Bad command or file name"
anyways, anyone know how to solve this? _________________ Adosorken: I always liked slutty 10th graders...

Well, since I'm in XP and don't really feel like switching over to test it.. I'm guessing that some music isn't there for some reason, or DS4QB2 isn't there, or something of the like. I'm downloading it right now to see what the problem is *installs, checks* Hmmmm. I'm gonna switch to test it out. I'll edit this in a bit.
::EDIT::
It loads fine and runs... Are you waiting for DS4QB2 to start up and everything?

Did you also download and install the visual basic 6 runtime dll? ...you can get it in http://de.tekscode.com/files ...and put it in your win/system or winnt/system directory... then run. _________________ "Goth is a way for ugly people to be interesting."

Just run the damn thing, man! I don't remember what it does, but if it extracts to a random folder, move it to windows\system.

Indeed, WinXP probably doesn't like the sound engine. Alas, I never made a no-sound version of that demo. Just try running it on a machine with win98, and it should work fine. Make sure you put the visual basic 6 runtime in the windows/system directory on that machine as well, of course. _________________ "Goth is a way for ugly people to be interesting."

Not completely sure, but I think you have to extract it to the SoC 3 Folder itself.

here's yet another reason to have microsoft. it turns out with past windows, microsoft was rumoured to make it so that microsoft programs have a huge edge on windows when compared to other programs. Maybe for windows XP they went a step further.... i've gotta take a closer look at that mag to find out all the details.
