Well, I'm quitting pixel art! I'm still working on my games, and using my previous art in them, but I will not make anymore pixel art in the future. Why? Ben. Check this out:

Hmmm why do you care? Seriously. Oh no, someone trashed your art. Big deal. The arts are so freely judged, often by those who know nothing about them. Be prepared to hear some non constructive criticism of your work, and think nothing of it. It doesn't matter what you do there will always be someone out there that will try and drag you down. Fuck em. I've had my share of assholes putting down my art, especially when I first started playing around with pixel art. Hasn't stopped me. My art may not be the best but with every piece I create my little skill bar goes up a notch. Now if only I could do something about lazyness...

Well, it's easy to say you shouldn't care about things like that; and it's true, you shouldn't, but that's hard to live by, and I think part of why everybody releases his artwork, games, whatever, is so that he can get praise, not have some shit-shoveller bawl you out over it. Criticism's one thing, insult is another entirely.

But I was wandering through the old threads, and from what I've seen, it looks like most of the people here are impressed with what you can do; at least, everything I've read has been complementary.

So, not to put to fine a point on it, but screw him. If you decide to come back, I'm looking for an artist, and I'd be glad to have your help.
