I've always liked everquest but now am finding there are too many newbs and not enough charracters. This is way when they moved back the date for the realease of everquest 2 to march, i wanted to shoot someone in the head. just BANG! any other everquest enthusiasts feel the same way? _________________ I AM the Champion!

Personally I can't stand the whole graphical MUD genre (aka "MMORPG"s) (not that text MUDs are necessarily any better, although in some cases they are). I play computer games to escape morons and obnoxious jerks, not to interact with them. And the technical difficulties in writing quests and plots for hordes of simultaneous characters mean that the actual game of a graphical MUD is necessarily weaker than that of a single-player game.

text muds are perhaps the greatest games ever, they just seem, rustic. some of my friends hate them though. one kid i know said they have bad graphics, to which i reply: ok buddy you r now a registered idiot back away now before i hit you. some people these days......... _________________ I AM the Champion!

I loved the first Asherons Call. I wish theyd rerelease it as a limited multiplayer game so just me and my buds could play it over LAN. Balance it for ~8 people and maybe spiff up the graphics a bit. Id pay $30 for that. I look at screen shots every now and then cause I stopped playing/paying quite a while ago... the characters have fricken fingers now. Far out. Never played everquest myself but I don't think I'd be able to stand the zone loads.

I haven't played Everquest so I'm not sure if it's overrated or not. I was quite happy with UO when I got into online gaming. Bit gutted to hear Everquest 2 has been put back though as it is one I look forward to trying out.

well I played everquest for about 20 minutes one day just to try it out. (it came on a diskmag)... the graphics were terrible, the gameplay was boring, the only other human being I ran in to was stupid.. and I couldn't find a single fun thing to do in the whole town that I started in.
I was serriously unimpressed.
