Oh fucking CHRIST! I just finished the phpBB skin I promised for Venosoft and I have to tell you..... I appreciate this forum you've given us.
Three beers for Bjørn!

Yeah... after looking at phpBB skins I must say it's quite a task. I think I read somewhere on this forum that this skin started out as subSilver and Bjorn just modded it to look like it is now but I may be wrong. Even still... this skin might as well have been done from scratch as it's pretty different. ;)
Myself, I cheat with forum skins. Heh. With RPG-Dev.net I just stuck two include's before and after the one line that InvisionBoard uses to display everything. Then, with some phpBB skins I've done for various other sites I usually just stick most of the site design's header and footer HTML in the templates and modify some of the colours and images leaving the majority of the original phpBB skin intact heh.
But yeah... great job Bjorn. :)
EDIT: LOL! I just posted all that and realized that I hadn't put the 'ø' in Bjorn but had instead put an 'o' so as I went to click 'Edit' to fix that up I realized that the forum must have some sort of word censor in place to change it. Heh. That's kind of funny (Sorry if this is old news... I obviously just realized it). _________________ RPG-Dev.net

Ya, I told him to do that, but I did the ø myself in the above post :)

Heh, thanks both. It was quite a task but it is indeed a (big) modification of the Silver theme. I had to do quite some modification to the PHP code for some changes as well though.
Anyway, congrats on finishing your skin Ninkazu, I think it looks quite nice too. One little comment, I'm missing a bit of margin to the left of posts' text. :-)
Yeah, it's "censoring" _Bjorn away in favor of Bjørn. Pretty nice idea.

Your text entry fields (well, the input/text fields, at the very least) look exactly like your buttons, which is a very bad visual distraction. It's generally good form to have the two distinguishable from each other, so that the user has a good idea of what to click and where to write. _________________ "...LeoDraco is a pompus git..." -- Mandrake

Ah, there is the first complaint. ;-)
I don't see what you mean because the buttons are outset while the text fields are inset, and the text fields have a bright background and black text whereas the buttons have about the same colors as the page background and text. I find them very hard to confuse...
Which browser are you using? Just curious so I might be able to test it out, maybe something needs fixing.

I think Leo was talking to Ninkazu. If he was, I would have to agree with him. The text fields on Venosoft's Forums are rather disconcerting.

Heh. Sorry about that, Bjorn; indeed, my comment was directed at Ninkazu. _________________ "...LeoDraco is a pompus git..." -- Mandrake

That was the easiest fix I've had in a while. Thanks for the bitching, I hardly ever hear it outside school.
