Independence

Jag har snickrat på en programmeringssite till mig själv och en förening jag är medlem i, den börjar nu närma sig version 1.0 eller vad man ska kalla det. Jag skulle uppskatta om ni kunde ge lite konstruktiv kritik så jag kan göra den ännu bättre innan version 1.0.

Vad tycker ni om design, funktionalitet, innehåll osv? Jag har funderat på att göra så att man kan välja färgtema för vissa gillar inte färgvalet osv. Vad tycker ni? Fungerar php-scripten bra?

Det kommer också hållas en RPG-tävling på sidan där man kan vinna en Borland C++ Builder X Developer-kompilator!

jette kul (was that even proper sweedish) at se en seriøs nordisk side om programmering!
Designet er fint, men der mangler selvsagt noget mere indhold, der gør det værd at besøge siden... men det kommer nok :)

If you didn't grasp a word of this, you didn't pay attention in your Danish lessons. ... as if anybody outside Denmark had those.

I would give my right ear for a proper article about scripting! Not the basic thing about how to make an asm like incredibly simple engine, but neither one that claims that you have to put your script file through 10 layers of lexters/tokenisers and parsers heh. It doesn't matter to me if it's Swedish :D

I think I understood most of what you wrote, exept this part:

not very much contents? What does it mean? Our first lessons in Danish is in a couple of week, maybe I understand more then :)
How about writing a guide by yourself? I dont now anyting about such things anyway, but we can always hope that someone posts an article about it :)

Oh yeah I've been trying to write an article on the subject for a long time, but I havn't really been able to get anywhere with it. Besides, if I write it, it's not as fun for me to read :P

Btw you were right - I was saying it lacked content (although it has some tutorials already :))

If anybody reading this are eager to learn about scripting, ask a bunch of questions about it. That'll help me write an article!

Look at the most recent issue of Pixelate (google: pixelate). There is a pretty comprehensive tutorial that doesn't mention lex or yacc.

Ok, nice :) Pretty evil language he's building there, but it puts the basics through. I guess I will forget about writing an article then, and finish my script instead.

Hmm, maybe I should make a topic where people could ask questions on scripting, and people who knew how to do this and that could answer. I have been working on scripting languages for a year at least (more or less intensively of course)

Would that be a good idea?

If possible, this should end up in a tutorial, article or FAQ or something. I wouldn't mind editing it.

Btw, if you have anything going with scripting and need some help (the task can be huge), just give me a hint. I'm bored working alone.
