Well, the GUI compo is over and quite some people managed to get an entry done. Some people were more serious than others, but we'll leave it up to the voters to decide whether that's good or bad for winning the competition. Two entries were disqualified.

Take a look at the GUI compo entries thread for the author's comments with the design. Here is a summary of the entrants:

It seems cuteness is highly appreciated here, as well as nice pixel artistry. Congratulations. :-)

white_door's was, in my opinion, the best one that represented a classic RPG. Like I said on IRC though, Bjørn, yours was a real close second in my eyes. :) I like janus' GUI but it looked a little simplistic (maybe that was the intention? somehow reminds me of Xenogears). Rainer Deyke's would be better in a different genre of game. Happy...Teletubbies RPG man, Teletubbies RPG. :D
