Description:
As I said, My Entry to DE's miniRPG comp, its got a few bugs I can't bring myself to deal with, so your getting the scars and all version. I should prob have uploaded it somewhere other then geoshitties, but anyway. The game uses 16 colours, tile by tile scrolling, a mini screen and no music. It was only recognised for its story, which was pretty fun to make.

I thought this game played well. It used cut scenes and humor effectively. Unlike most indie rpgs, this one was easy to pick up without having to memorize a lot of battle tactics and backstory straight off the start. The only major complaint I had about it was leveling up towards the end. I think the last 25% of my battles, all I did was hit enter-1-enter-enter-enter-enter in rapid succession, over and over until level 39.
Boss was great but I think you could do even more with the outcome -- for instance, the house scene in the third town seemed more like the longest scene in the game.
This is only the second indie rpg I've played through. I think this is because it was easy to dive into, kept things simple, and had clearly defined objectives during each step of the game. |
