Description:
THIS IS NOT A LEARNING GAME. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LEARN A SINGLE JAPANESE CHARACTER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO.
That said, Kambou is a tactical RPG that I developed as an web-based MMO using HTML and PHP in March of 2006. I have since reworked the same concept as a single player game in executable format and is presented in 640x480 resolution.
Evil ji (Japanese characters) are invading the earth via Japan, and you must battle your way across the countryside, hitting up locales such as Osaka, Kyoto and Nara along the way, while collecting your own ji in an irreverant and goofy quest that we hope you will find quite omoroi. Na.

At long last! Version 1.0 is complete. The update makes the game playable through the end of chapter 3. Skills are now usable (there are 5 in this version), there are six new battle areas and five new items. And naturally, there is more story. Much more story actually.
Let me know what you think. Gambatte, ne!

This is a big update with a lot of changes. There are now 12 functional kanji, 11 battlefields, 12 items complete with sound effects and battle animation effects, 24 different combos, music, and brand new enemy AI, and many more small fixes and updates. I hope you like it. Please be sure to let me know what you think.
