Where did you find out about that God/Goddess? Every book I have here says that there were only 2 generations of Horae , and both had only 3, and neither sound like those names you listed here. Where they roman equivelants?r.
Wow, talk about conflicting stories:
Quote: |
In Greek mythology, the Horae (hours) were the three goddesses of the seasons, for the Greeks only recognized spring, summer and winter. They were daughters of Zeus and Themis.
There were two generations of Horae: (note: this does not refer to "generation" in the traditional sense of the second group being offspring of the first; earlier writers recognized the first generation and later authors subscribed to the second.)
1. The first generation consisted of Thallo, Auxo and Carpo.
2. The second generation comprised Eunomia, Dike and Eirene.
The first generation were nature goddesses who controlled the growth of plants; the second generation were law and order goddesses who maintained the stability of society.

That was from Wikipedia. And my few books on greek mythology (which I don't feel like retyping) have even more contraditions (some agree with Helios being their father, others say Chronos, others say Zues). Gotta love it. All of these different seperate mythologies, most of them probably re-invented to an author's whim. By Author, I mean the original Greek writers who have had their works survive to this day, and is the only thing we have to go on while looking back on this.
How about Hecate? Nothing more autumn like and Haloweenish than that. _________________ "Well, last time I flicked on a lighter, I'm pretty sure I didn't create a black hole."-

Well, how about 25th - 26th (two weeks time)? Does that suit anybody else?

I would rather it was in october than september. I have no free days in september, and september isn't really autumn-ish around here anyway. _________________ BOOGA!

Well, October really doesn't suit me... Maybe we should have a poll to determine the most suitable weekend? Actually, hang on...

I'm in favor of October as well. Basically because for the rest of September I'm going to be scrambling like crazy to get the ARC Legacy demo out of the door. _________________ Mark Hall

Sorry, I feel like I've been a bit of a pain :) From the looks of the poll (so far - it's due to run another 5 days), the most suitable weekend is the one at the 16th. I could probably manage to make that one work, hopefully it won't be any later than that :)
I need a clarification of one of the rules : I'm thinking of remaking one of my older projects for the compo. Would it be ok to use one of the songs from that game if I remix it or something? I'll be doing everything else (graphics, story) from scratch.
I really looking forward to this contest, whenever it is :)
An Arc Legacy demo? Cool :)

You can, just note it in the readme somewhere.
