The project is really picking up. We have a near-finished conversation system and the battle system is about 50% done.

Yes, the current GUI sucks, but this is still a work in progress, and hopefully we can get some better art in soon...

Heck, I say why not?
Take a look at games like The Elder Scrolls: Arena. The graphics are very blocky and become real flat when you get too close to them, but heck, the game is brilliant.
And a lot of people, even in this modern day and age, have made great games with not-too-well-done graphics. Should they stop trying?

I think not.

Just my thoughts.

Oh, and thanks for the compliment about the raytrace engine, janus. it's a pain in the butt and elevation is still a problem when it comes to the camera, but things seem to be coming along. We definitely need to work on better gui graphics, though.
