You've just got to understand: there are a lot of teenagers who post here trying to get help from us. We don't mean to judge you based upon what you write, but given that your personality isn't available to us to interact with, I don't think it's fair to judge us for doing so.

You can tell a lot about someone by the way they write online. You can tell what part of the world they're from, how intellectual they are, and (most importantly) whether or not they should be allowed to write on the internet. :D

Yes, well, I think we can all forgive him now because xero has made excellent improvements in his more recent posts. :-)

Its a bit funny though, because I was typing whole sentences on one of our sister forums and everyone was running jokes through... I guess that ignorance is bliss in a sense. But I find that it is not true that what you don't know cannot hurt you because as you have said will completely disregard you simply based on how you present yourself.

Maybe you want to check the audience first and then try to communicate with them in a manner that they feel comfortable with :)

If someone has formed a prejudice on you, it's very a hard to rectify it. Hehe, probably now I just made you think of me in a certain way and therefore neglected my own advice ;)

I would recommend to grab this opportunity to learn Ruby. Personally I regard it as a wonderful language, even though I still have to put it to some good use somewhere. I just finished reading Why's (Poignant) Guide To Ruby, which is quite an unusual and funny way to introduce people to the programming language:
