maybe- but probably not. The game will mostly take place in a large sprawling ruin built into the side of mountian called The Graveyard of The Gods. Not much elevation invloved with that :)

Yes and No. Think more like Shining Force (where there was exploration as well) or Arc the Lad. The combat will be smaller as well (3 hero's in the party, and only 3-5 baddies, no large armies)...so it's somewhat tactical.

Yes it did. This is a more recent screen capture, with two of the three main characters. These are twin female bounty hunters, Naria and Niamh. Naria is a fighter who uses a bamboo sword and a boomerang. Niamh is a healer, who doesn't fight and only uses defense spells (pacifist).

Heh... at that size, there's not a lot of detail to go around, except at the head level ;) A small suggestion -- since they are twins, if they fight together they might be tethered in a way. For example, if one is badly injured, the other will receive a sudden burst of adrenalin and go all apeshit powerful. Just a random idea...

Looks good. Hopefully I'll have some new shots of my own to post in a few weeks.

Actually, I originally was going to make them non-identicle twins for that reason Happy- but I thought that was a cop out. All sprites at 16x16 look mostly similiar anyway. I wanted them to be twins- just something cool about twin sister bounty hunters.

Yeah I like the idea of them tethered together- it could add another level of strategy. Like, the one sister (who is a pacifist) will only fight in battle if her sister is hurt.

Yeah, you're so right. I could never tell the difference between Rydia and Rosa or Mara and Nara. Cecil's like "oh no, Kain betrayed us and took the crystal" and I'm like, "wait, you mean Cecil and Kain are different people??"

That was a pretty sweeping statement to make and it's flat-out wrong.

Not to say you aren't entitled to make your sisters be twins but they don't necessarily wear the same clothes. For example, wouldn't you imagine that a hunter and a pacifist would have different ideas of what to wear? The hunter needs to be able to move around, have protection, and carry supplies. The pacifist probably just wants to wear simple and/or comfortable clothes that don't require skins or furs. etc.

Nice graphics though. I like the style.

They don't. When you look at the graphics full screen it's very obv they are wearing two entirely different pieces of clothing. Now why don't you go and crawl back into your hole like a nice little troll?
