http://www.allegro.cc/files/4.0.2/allegro-4.0.2-djgpp.zip
http://www.allegro.cc/files/4.0.3/allegro-4.0.3-mingw.zip
In order to use these, you'll simply need to place the `include' and `lib' folders into your compilers directory.

(You can find this very easily on allegro.cc - google is your friend)

I'll try my best, few things i dunno what is DJGPP, MSVC,Mingw32 everywhere i go on each web site it gives me these names tell me i need Dev-C++, but i'm using Dev-C++, then while reading the tutorials tells me i need those from the beginning after I went through all those steps getting and installing I just want to know are they programs or add-ons, or just extra stuff?

EDIT: sorry messed up my question, Will this work with Dev-C++? Cause the tutorials i read don't really make sense or i just get confused sometimes if anyone else can help me please with what i need to know and not know until int he near future.

Before you tackle game programming, you should understand your tools. Dev-Cpp is an IDE for MinGW32.

Just to clarify - DJGPP is a port of the GNU Compiler Collection (and other tools normally found on UNIX) for DOS; mingw (which you are using) is another port of GCC for 32-bit Windows operating systems.

Have fun with Allegro!

Oh, and hi, Ninkazu. :)

...and that is a good way to get burned.
you're new around here, dont be rude to those that take the time to post valuable information.

words of advice:

get used to allegro and c++ programming before you even think about AllegroGL.
I can guarantee that your head will not wrap around that stuff since you're new to this.

Start simple.
download the Allegro documentation, and learn its commands.
If you dont know C/C++, get a book on it, and learn how to program in C/C++ before you try to write games.

I'm telling you this not as an insult, but as friendly directing for you, as I was once in your position a long time ago. I learned the hard way that the way you're acting will not get you very far.

I wish you much luck, and I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have about writing Allegro programs.
I'm one of the few here that still uses Allegro, and I know it well.

Welcome to RPGDX ~ nice signature pics as well.

I disagree: his posts are a bit, shall we say, busy? Between the somersaulting cat (?) and the epileptic sign-language, I'm quite sure I feel nauseated. Add in that the size of the "pics" are, in essence, larger than the size of the posts, and the result is, definitely, a headache.

Not to bitch, or anything, but there is that old maxim: "When in Rome..."

Kill Ceaser before he overthrows the senate and becomes a war like fascist dictator that they fear?

I agree.

Well, I thought there was a reason I stopped dropping by here.

Flipping cat?, sign language? it's a scene from one hand justu on a epsidoe of naruto if it's hurts you then odn't post, And what you talking about "thats a good way to get burn" there no fire here unless your talking about others that are not giving
me direct infomation just saying hi to you, I don't tend to stay on here long enough just want infomation on Allegro and AllegroGL if that bothers you on how i respond back to people you must be really sensetive or soft and very emotional. And i'm not busy I post the first time took 2 days for you to respond back, all of you.

I'm sorry. That's like saying if my punching you in the face hurts, then you shouldn't walk down the street.

You are the one causing pain. Not us.
