Funny, I remember the following suggestions being made:
- look into AJAX and related principles
- check what people have already accomplished with AJAX
- build on or learn from that code
- stop being an asshat, possibly including being nice to your ex-friend
- learn to listen to criticism from others

On your code, it still doesn't do anything. I've programmed in C very little, but I do see what's going on, and it seems you're just moving strings around and measuring lengths of strings and so forth. Except not, because it doesn't work. How does this translate to the program you wrote in javascript earlier? I can't see any way strings would need to be used in a program like that yet.

If I were going to say something directly constructive and not repetitive, i'd say that if you want to succeed, surely you should try and stay focused on the task at hand. Deal with string handling later, if indeed it needs to be dealt with at all. Why not just get allegro and re-write your original code? Or do it in FB, the method matters little at this point I suspect. Or give up on it, it's clearly not interesting you or you'd have written more and better code by now.
