Myself (INTj) with LeoDraco (ISTx):

"Frustrated relations (benefit/comparative)

The benefactor disagrees with the beneficiary, but is helpless
to avoid helping them."

I can't help but look like a fool whenever I argue with him. It's not because his arguments are better than mine, it's simply because he can provide more facts at a whim than I can because he spends his entire existence accumulating them like mad. A real Einstein could put him in his place, though.

Myself (INTj) and RuneLancer (INTp?)

Quasi-identical relations

I'm not completely certain about this, so I'm rather hesitant to comment. I think he sees me as kinda dangerous, though, especially when I act outgoing....

Myself (INTj) and DrunkenCoder (ENTp)

Mirror relations

When I'm not outgoing, he just gives new insights. When I am, he argues with me every bit as hard as RL does.

Myself (INTj) and white_door (xxxx)

There is just something really hopeful and inspiring about him, and I think everyone here feels that way. Everytime we have a doubt that things will be OK, it seems, here comes white_door to the rescue trumpeting the inevitable triumph of humanity and making us feel like we are evil itself, so long as we dare to disagree. He exudes this Hiro-like confidence that is enough to compell one to believe providence itself watches over this forum....

Myself (INTj) and Bjorn (INTj)

We hardly ever disagree on anything. Every time we do disagree, it's usually because of some kind of outside pressure, or mistransmission of information. At heart, we're really after the same thing and the only thing that seperates us are our seperate histories.

Myself (INTj) and Mandrake (ENTj?)

I've never met an ENTJ that prided himself on being an asshole. On that token, I think he's a cross-type, but I can't yet say exactly where....

Myself (INTj) and DeveloperX (Exxx)

We have from the beginning seen ourselves as gateways to the outside world, to an adventure that's just beyond the next challenge we must overcome.... But we are wary of each other, because we are afraid of becoming swept away by each other into something that we are not.

LG is a dangerous man.

And I am a series of fixed concepts that can be researched with scientific accuracy. :D

And just think: someday, I'll have a mathematical equation with which to research your every move! Come on, RL, join me, and together we shall give birth to a new age of... pre-calculated utopia!

Well, I've already figured out my equation, so I'm set for life. Problem is, it currently uses mathematical symbols that haven't yet been invented, like Guznam (╝), Aizik (♣) and Twizoom (^_^), so it may take a while because it can be put to any use.

In the meantime, I'll just eat pretzels and code stuff.

Here's my highly technical and scientific psychoanalysis of human-to-human interactions between all people of all ages:

Sooner or later, we'll all find something bad about everyone else.

Life is as complex as you make it. I'll have my life simple, thanks.

Dude, your posts about DevX are starting to border on slash fiction, and this ain't the first time, either. You might want to dial it back a bit if that's not the effect you're going for...

Am I the only one to have had brief conspiracy theory thoughts along the lines of "Shit, now LG has TWO accounts" ever since this guy registered? :p

That's hardly becoming of the DIVX personality type, mate. Better set those suspicions aside before we lock you up. :P

NyanNyan certainly seems to have tunnel vision towards certain things. Not that that is bad, NyanNyan; Galbalan has managed to stick around for quite some time with his amazing tunnel vision.

Contrary to the aparent popular belief, I am an INFP. This is quite different than an INTJ, although, INTJs supplement my personality type very well.

ISFPs are the first to hear the different drummer. Many eagerly plunge into new fashions, avant garde experiences, 'hip' trends--some even setting the trends.

INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder. One might say they see life through rose-colored glasses. It's as though they live at the edge of a looking-glass world where mundane objects come to life, where flora and fauna take on near-human qualities.

INFP children often exhibit this in a 'Calvin and Hobbes' fashion, switching from reality to fantasy and back again. With few exceptions, it is the NF child who readily develops imaginary playmates (as with Anne of Green Gables's "bookcase girlfriend"--her own reflection) and whose stuffed animals come to life like the Velveteen Rabbit and the Skin Horse:

I just really don't get this obsession with 'types'. I've taken the personality type test several times over the years, however I've never seen it as anything more than a tool for personal understanding and a very vague and limited one at that.

A personality type is only one aspect of your character anyway. My knowing your type doesn't affect anything, nor does your knowing my type. So why bother? It just seems like an attempt to have an elite little group, where only people that know the letter codes can join in the discussions.

Its like an rpg character, your character has stats. However do the stats really tell about who the character is? No! You have to know the character's back story and experence their ethical code and personal strengths and weaknesses.

Dear White_Door, what I think you fail the understand is the importance of understanding one's self.

By using scientifically verifiable tests, we can begin to answer the very question all of us ask ourselves from birth, who am I?

Furthermore, as evidenced by this thread, using Jung's personality types as a template, you can have a better understanding of how who you are allows you to interact with others in a society.

Now, of course these are templates, and don't definitevely define who we are. What it does is describe our general functions and attitudes.

A function is a way someone will interpret incoming data. Much like computer programming, you can think of concepts like feeling and thinking as functions for transforming data. Your attitude describes if the output will be roughly internal or external (introverted or extraverted).

The goal of these tests is the persuit of adaptation: how one comes to understand and accept the outside world. In a sense, by seperating the objectivity of your thoughts from the imago of one's self, you gain the tools to objectively understand your subconscious as it relates to outward stimulii.

Since the world we live in is a facade, different for every person, understanding how we view the world is important to understanding the world in and of itself. Furthermore, by understanding how others take in the world, we can better communicate and work together towards whatever our goals may be.

Finally, to not be able to objectively understand one's thought patterns, you may be subject to negative inflation. In other words, because your personality traits may be seen by society as weak or unfavorable, you may begin to have an unfavorable opinion of yourself. To objectively view yourself outside of the scope of the expectations of society, you may find to embrace your introverted nature, for example.
