So far so good with this conversion. I'm about halfway thru the battle engine right now, I'll be able to post screenshots of that soon enough. I've spent a lot of time over the past few days optimizing the hell out of the game engine...still plenty to go too. :) No sound effects in the game yet, but that's coming soon as well. :) _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. Did some polishing up of the game while we wait for the cutscenes. :)

Wow, those screenshots bring back a lot of memories. They certainly ring true of the original.
Keep up the effort!

You're redoing the graphics though right? I mean... what good is a remake if everything looks the same

I had called it a port but everyone else called it a remake. :) It's a bit of both. The tile graphics have all changed, the sprites have been touched up a bit, and the music has been greatly enhanced. But it still plays the same way (unless you play the Balanced game) so any strategies from the original will still work here. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. After going through FOUR ARTISTS to draw the cutscenes (that none of which ever delivered a single image for one reason or another), we decided to just allow Keranu, our sprite artist, do them instead. This game is now 8 months late because of this problem. If I hadn't wanted proper cutscenes in the game, it'd be out already, although it'd lack the real charm of a CDROM oldschool console game, which are animated cutscenes. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. Cutscenes? Then I would call it more like a remake than a port ^_^. It's bad that four different people have failed you on one darn thing not even making one image. So its only the cutscenes left? I'm curiously waiting for a download :). _________________

Yup, pretty much only cutscenes remain. Also though, there are a few translations of the game, one of them is done (Spanish), one has been started (Japanese) and one is off in la-la-land somewhere (French). The download will be up at some point in time this year...that's all I can give for an ETA. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. There might be space left on the disc for a swedish translation...that hadn't come up due to the apparent lack of a swedish PCE scene. I'll run the idea by the guys though and I'll get back to you on that one. :) _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. On the other hand, a swedish translation isn't needed. Swedish people are overall good english readers. But it would be cool :). _________________

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any interest in a Swedish translation...sorry man. :( _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. The scary part is that if you play it forwards it installs Windows. - wallace
