Quote:

By The Associated Press

"At some point after the publication of the July 6, 2003, OpEd by Wilson, Vice President Cheney, defendant's immediate superior, expressed concerns to defendant regarding whether Mr. Wilson's trip was legitimate or whether it was in effect a junket set up by Mr. Wilson's wife. And in considering 'context,' there was press reporting that the vice president had dispatched Mr. Wilson on the trip (which in fact was not accurate). Disclosing the belief that Mr. Wilson's wife sent him on the Niger trip was one way for defendant to contradict the assertion that the vice president had done so, while at the same time undercutting Mr. Wilson's credibility if Mr. Wilson was perceived to have received the assignment on account of nepotism."

___

"Defendant testified that the circumstances of his conversations with reporter Miller — getting approval from the president through the vice president to discuss material that would be classified but for that approval — were unique in his recollection. Defendant further testified that on July 12, 2003, he was specifically directed by the vice president to speak to the press in place of Cathie Martin (then the communications person for the Vice President) regarding the NIE and Wilson. Defendant was instructed to provide what was for him an extremely rare 'on the record' statement, and to provide 'background' and 'deep background' statements, and to provide information contained in a document defendant understood to be the cable authored by Mr. Wilson. During the conversations that followed on July 12, defendant discussed Ms. Wilson's employment with both Matthew Cooper (for the first time) and Judith Miller (for the third time). Even if someone else in some other agency thought that the controversy about Mr. Wilson and/or his wife was a trifle, that person's state of mind would be irrelevant to the importance and focus defendant placed on the matter and the importance he attached to the surrounding conversations he was directed to engage in by the vice president."

Yes Ninkazu, there is a war for your mind. But I promise you, we on the left don't think that way. Only the right could think of such evil mechanations. We don't want you to be controlled, we want you to be free. It is the right that would enslave you.

uhhh, no. Maybe some of the hardcore Christians might want to enforce their values on you, but that's a sort of weird situation at the moment, and only represents part of the political right.

Historically, the right has been for liberty, while the left for equality. If anything, most people on the right don't want you to be forced to believe in anything, where as people on the left force their ideas of equal rights, feminism, affirmative action, etc... in the name of equality.

EDIT: I just realized that my post makes it sound like only the left plays mental games, so to speak. It's hard to tell which plays this game more though, so who knows... Everyone wants you to vote for their team. :)

PS: I'm glad you're back.

I'm not back. I was just making a point. I wouldn't come back this place unless I was paid to, and then reluctantly.

So... how much did "they" pay you to come back to inform us of this highly important information? >"<

See, here's what I don't get... The people here are pretty gosh darn nice! I've had my fair share of heated discussions with people on this board which resulted in some harsh language, but we are all friends! Ninkazu, RuneLancer, etc... We all get along even though you can find posts here where we argued.

LG, you're not going to get along with everyone all the time, but it seems like you don't try to get along. This is the only reason I can think of that the people here are so upset with you. LordGalbalan, maybe you could try to make an effort to be friendly and build back some of those bridges you burned down. In any case, by maintaining your distance, you're building up some baaaaad karma. :(

But I do miss you none the less. Please take care.

Does anyone else think it's even weirder when LG argues with himself?

On opposite sides of the political spectrum (as it is extant in the US, that is), no less. Agreed.

When I read the topic title, the first thing that came to mind was the invention of a sort of "brain beam", where people could shoot energy at each other using their minds.

I kinda wish it was about that. That would be cool. And a little freaky.

LG brain is like the DeathstarTM. And I so remember how they blew it up.
Why must you always post crap like this? Why not use the forum in a better way? Like telling us how superior you 'naked ladie walking on a chessboard' thing is.

Why not install the program yourself and witness its REAL POWER? :D

NNK:
I don't like to argue. I just like to go about things my own way. THEY try to FORCE ME to go their way. That's what I don't like about them.

And I should mention, these people here really do think that you are me. Seriously, they aren't joking.

I'm attempting to build my own community with people who don't try to force me to go their way. Come take a look.

LG, they are just joking about us being the same people. :) We have a lot in common despite being polar opposites in some ways. =P

It's OK. Everyone here is my friend, I know it's all in good fun. I'll definitely check out your board though.
