Alta'Zion is an RPG Maker project I recently started. It currently has one small playable demo in which you are limited to explore the current world map and examine areas you will find early on in the game. Some of the features the game are planned to include are:
# Side-View Battle System (RPG Maker 2003) - The good ol' RTP battle system. It's not too bad, I guess. I hate the RTP graphics for Battle Character Sets and I want to change them but I fear that I may not be able to. If I can it will eliminate RTP characters from the game possibly.
# Ship Building/Battling - This has been in plan since my old "The Pirate's Life" project. You will be able to buy ships and upgrade them to defend yourself on the high seas. However, watch out on attack innocent fleets, you may end up with a bounty on your head with other nations storming your castle.
# Real-Time System - Experience a realistic world with time passing as you play. Some things may only happen once per year... or millenium for that matter...
# Advanced Leveling/Stat Building System - Loosely based on the Leveling Up and Class Changing system of Sword of Mana/Final Fantasy Adventure/Seiken Densetsu (Yes they are all the same excellent game, go play them). Every time you level up you can increase certain stats and depending on how you distribute those stats, you'll end up with different classes each with unique bonuses and skills.
# A Massive World - For RPG Maker Veterans, you know how big a 500x500 map is. The largest possible map you can make on the RPG Maker 2003 filled with amazing uncharted lands. And that's just the overworld... I haven't even mentioned the skies...
Since it is being made with RPG Maker 2003 the playable characters will most likely be RTP. This is a turn down to many but if you give the game a chance you may turn out to enjoy it. You need a better file host...quickdump seems to be quite the pile of quickcrap. Try FileAnchor. I'd really like to see your game. RTP graphics don't bother me (they're better than most people's attempts at original graphics anyways).
EDIT: Finally was able to download it, took about 60 tries. Anyways, not a bad start...you seem to have decent skill with mapmaking, unlike the vast majority of crap RPG Maker scrubs out there. Not bad for only two days' work. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. The scary part is that if you play it forwards it installs Windows. - wallace
