If you're on ice and on a collision course, you won't be able to avoid the blast anyway, so just plough through. Obviously, try to sidestep them first, though there are a couple of places where they're put on the ice on purpose, and are thus virtually unavoidable. It only happens in a couple of places, so you should be alright.

He's talking about a bug, not the bugs on ice. I had 2 crashes at the second dungeon too. Can't say what triggered them but it was a the last part of the dungeon. _________________

I know, but he did say:
Quote: | The game seems to crash sometimes when the player kills a blue bug while sliding.
...
I can't seem to effectively dodge the bugs, so I guess I won't be continuing this game until... |
Without knowing how to fix the errors, the best you can do is stock up on health, try not to sustain too many hits, and regain your health by smashing boxes/killing stuff on non-ice surfaces.

How do you stock up on health? I haven't found any "hearts" beyond the starting six.
I tried to make it through, but there is one point at the end that's got four of 'em all bunched together. How do I get through without killing some of them?

In the third screen you get to (from the very start of the game), there's a guy in a red cloak who will upgrade your health for gold. He also appears at two other points during the course of the game.
Crates are also an excellent way to get back lost health; if there are crates in a room, you can exit then re-enter the room to make them respawn.
EDIT: And the crash shouldn't occur that often. You can get away with killing some... It's pretty rare actually. There's no reason to avoid them completely.

I'll keep that in mind.

I wouldn't have a problem with it except that the game is quite difficult and it's a fairly long walk from the savepoint back to that spot, especially with those white robed goons shooting at you.... And it happened twice.

Game works fine. Config utility segfaults on my system unfortunately.

did you run the config utility from the base dir? thats a "bug", the program must be run from the dir it is in (so it can access the pictures and stuff there), i got around that in win because of "working directory"... _________________ Are you guys *sure* I should do this, man?

I start the utility with:
./config
so it should've be in the base directory. Basically what happens is that a black window pops up and immediately closes, followed by a 'segmentation fault' message in the console.
