Just wondering if anyone would mind rigging a character model for me.

I cannot seem to get it right. I need practice, but I cannot find any really good resources to show me the proper method. If you can't rig the model for me, maybe you could teach me how to do it.

The model is textured, and is a single triangulated mesh, posed in a standard "T" position.

Thanks.

are you just getting weird distortions when a joint bends? is that the problem? sometimes you simply need more geometry in the joint area I think. I'm new to modeling myself, but am getting my character to bend ok.

Actually it turned out that my model was made quite poorly, in that I made too many 'unseen' polygons (I made a box around a box, then subdivided the mesh several times, before exporting to 3ds, to triangulate the mesh).....this resulted in polygons' vertices that were not painted with weights, causing very poor results when attempting to rig the model. I've been too busy with other tasks right now to fix the model, but I plan to remake it in lower-poly form, using the original as a template to create the forms I desire.

I've made smaller simpler models and rigged them successfully now, so this thread's topic post is no longer neccessary.
