We plan to start working on an RPG after we finish the game we're working on now. It's going to be based on the "Genesis" book of the Catholic Bible. Your character is going to be an angel named Rael, and the game is going to be set before the flood.

It isn't really going to be a "Catholic" game. I'm just using Catholic "mythology" the same way I would use Greek mythology to make a game.

In any case, it's supposed to be named "Chronicles of Rael" after the main character. I was thinking it would be better to call it "Testament of Rael" so that it sounds more biblical. There is actually a book called "Chronicles" in the bible, but the word sounds more generic. "Testament" automatically brings up the idea of religion.

I posted about this on my website's forum, but no one uses my forum. Hence, I posted here as well.

Why don't you have a story before you decide on the name instead of a two sentence abstract? It could give you more insight on what the game should be called.

I'd say "Testament" if you're going for a Catholic "mythology" feel, but I would do a little more research and consideration before making a final choice. There's tons of arcane Christianese that means interesting things (examples: apocrypha, hypostatic union, theosis) so don't limit yourself.

Though I have a vague idea of the main storyline, nothing's even remotely close to being finalized yet.

I suppose it is a little early to worry about the name. I would like to have the final name on the website, but it's normal to have a working name for a while anyways.

The word "apocrypha" might be appropriate.
