Vision head (without telling me) moved indierpg.net to a faster server.
They forgot to activate PHP, CGI, and change over any data from MySQL. Then, after activating PHP and CGI they told me they couldn't change voer the DB name, only the data, adn that I had to redirect the data to the new DB. In comes Zog to help. Whilst he his helping the fix the problem.
But, there is a large ass problem they won't fix: none of the emails transferred and I can no longer access the remote login from work (damn firewall) unlike before. So until tomorrow, my email (and all those others hosted by indierpg.net) will be down and inaccassible.
Sucks, eh? I con't think i've ever panicked so much before in my life.

Well adding to that of course.. they moved the server, but the old one was still up - hence it was working fine for me (or appeared to be) as I was simply being directed to the old one as the DNS entry hadnt been updated with the new IP.
Likewise for a couple of others who I noticed logged in on the old board. Still, I am now being routed through to the correct server at last - though my last couple of posts will simply fade into oblivion on the old server but hey-ho.. nothing too important said there anyway.
Hopefully by tomorrow the whole world will be directed to this server should they happen to type "indierpg.net" into their preferred browser ;)
Must say though.. it is bad sportsmanship for them to just move servers like that without even informing their clients. Especially when there is associated downtime of up to 24 hours as DNS entries get updated around the globe.
