I'm looking to create some sound fx and voice assets. Email me to discuss rates - they won't be expensive so long as it's worth my time. Here are a few demos:

Sword

Club

Claw

Magic Missile (I'm attacking the darkness!)

Bow

Monster

I also produce music that's really fun. Why not have me do both? :-)

If you bundled a few non-exclusives together into a royalty-free pack (like your music packs) I'd be interested in that. Just so you know :D

Hmm, not to put you down or anything, but these sound pretty tinny and I can guess how most of them were recorded. The 'club' and 'bow' effects sound like something being dropped on a desk (though the club one sounds doubled?), the 'magic missle' sounds a bit like amped background nosie run through a phaser, and the 'monster' one just... sounds like you quietly 'raaaah'-ing into a mic. ;)

I wouldn't complain if I heard these in an indie RPG, but I'm not sure if they're something developers would pay for. Of course, I could be blatantly wrong, and I'm not trying to be overly harsh, but this is just what I get from hearing them.

Despite the fact that I can make my own 'rrraaaarrr' in the mic, I think if he sold them in large packs, i.e. 1000+ samples covering a good general range of sound effects, they would be worth a developer's time and money.

I've been searching around to purchase such a compilation but haven't found any that suited my taste yet.

They're budget sounds for budget projects, and I'm certainly not claiming otherwise. I'll probably invest in a sample library that I can draw from soon, but I'm just looking to build some sound credentials for now.

I don't work for free because it's just a bad idea, but I'm willing to do sound for dirt cheap, since it isn't hard to just blitz this stuff out. I'm also trying to bundle other audio services with music composition, which I am much more accomplished at.

For some audio compilations, check out the audio content packs hosted by Garage Games:

The terms of this offer are no longer available. (Is there a way to delete this thread?)

However, I still offer music and sfx as work for hire, and my portfolio is available at www.2eastmusic.com
