Ok, so it's just the game content that needs to be done during the contest period right? Cause i got a text based engine i'm already working on. So does that mean I can use the engine i'm writing as long as the content is confined to the contest period?

OK cool. Thanks. It's a good thing we've got a month, because that'll give me more time to get more of the engine done in time. I look forward to seeing the other entries.

I am, but haven't worked that much on it yet. It will be a quite small entry from me. I encourage all the rest of you who are not participating yet to jump on it now and make something small.. it's ASCII anyway, so can be quite fast to work with :D _________________ www.mattiasgustavsson.com - My blog

With a flash of inspiration, I came up with a name:
Buster Drake in... The one with the descent into hell
I think it sums up the straight faced ludicrousness of my idea perfectly. _________________ http://www.distractionware.com

Sweetness...
I'm kind of busy, so I probably won't be making an entry. Wasting a Saturday dinging with an ASCII engine a couple of weeks ago made me realize how much I enjoy my other project.

I'm working on something...its very small scale...I just realized that my plans were aimed far too high, so I'm started over a third time.
This time, I'm not aiming anywhere but 180 degrees ahead ..thats as low as you can get. :P
my entry is called SAWD which stands for Small ASCII Walkaround Demo (yeah, lame I know) but as of right now, I have 1 room to wander around in.
I am working on figuring out how to randomly generate rooms to create a larger playing area, then I'll add treasures & some monsters to kill. Then perhaps some lame story to go with it.
Who knows if I'll finish in time, but I'll try. :D _________________ Principal Software Architect
