About a year ago I became acquainted with an engine / toolkit project called "Dungeon Maker". It was ... in a word... cool. However... time has passed... the website has lapsed... and it looks like it has gone to the graveyard of indie RPG projects forever.
I just thought I'd poke around here and see if anybody has heard otherwise, has had contect with the developers, and can in any way prove me wrong. I was really impressed with the alpha version of it, but it looks like it never got past that point...
Screenshot of the demo, which was kind of a remake of the original Dungeon Master:

Looks really nice. Do you know if it was realtime 3d or prerendered? _________________ Life is what happens while you're waiting for the stress to subside...

From Coyotes old blog entry I deduce it was realtime.

Looks like it could be realtime.
Have never head of it though so I've no info. Sorry Rampant Coyote. _________________ Mao Mao Games

It was realtime, 3D.... I have the demo running on my machine, and stumbled across it again this weekend. It still limits you to the 4 cardinal directions, but it included smooth turns and all that other nifty 3Dish stuff.
It showed some real promise. I'm bummed if it's gone. I was thinking, "Wow, what could a bunch of indies do with this thing when it is completed?!" _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz
