Hey all. I've posted here a couple of times over the years, and I just wanted to pop in and let you know of a game I finished earlier this year. It's created in the RPG Toolkit, so unfortunately only Windows users can play the game - which if I remember right, is a big turn-off in this community. But some of you got to be running Windows, right? Maybe not. Anyway, it's a full game done and ready to be played, and it's only a little over an hour long, so you can probably play right through it in a sitting. Or you can exit it five minutes in and move right along to the internet's next billboard sign. I created a game profile on here, so if you do play through it, please throw me some feedback on there. I'm new to game design - which is obvious through the design flaws in Three Guys No Beer - so I'd appreciate any advice you can offer.
Here are some screenshots (all the graphics are original):

It's nice to see some original graphics in a game created with a RPG toolkit. Looks good, but unfortunately, I am one of those without Windows.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Best damn music in a game ever!
You made my day!
Okay man if I had $100 to spare, I'd give it to you!
I'm going to go play it now.
(and for you linux users, it installed and runs in Wine just fine.)
edit:
AW DAMN. I picked up all the items but the big rock..and when I tried, it crashed.
..okay, maybe I wouldn't give you $100...maybe $10.
edit 2:
okay, I tried again, and this time I got the big boulder first, and no crash.
I managed to play to the point where you talk to the librarian, and he tells his story...and shortly after the game locked up and crashed.
I give you 10/10 stars for the story.
Great dialogue.
8/10 stars for graphics.
7/10 stars for audio. (you'd get 10 if you had sound effects)
5/10 for playability (the controls are quirky, and the collision detection leaves a lot to be desired)
Overall, I say a pretty good game.
good work. _________________ Principal Software Architect

I like the music too but where is it from?
I'm gonna do a review as soon as I have finished the game.
At this time I'm on a big damn map running around trying to find out how to get all them items. _________________

Wow, thanks a lot for the positive feedback DeveloperX!
That's a very strange bug. The game was extensively tested, and it amazes me that no one ran into that bug (or dozens of people who have reviewed it and said it was bug-free). I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.
I'm so happy you enjoyed the writing, I really put a lot into it. And it's awesome that you liked the music, that's been really hit or miss with people. The controls are... yeah. Toolkit still has a lot of room for improvement in that area, and there's not much I can without abandoning the software.
@BadMrBox: It should tell you the artist and song title when walking around the game. The battle songs are all Bob Dylan. The opening song is a Eels song called "Grace Kelly Blues". The first forest song is another Eels song called "Packing Blankets". The last song is "Truly Great Thing" from Sebadoh.

EDIT: cut out the image. _________________ http://www.weeaboo.se
