When Terry commands I obey. So should you! Yes, you!
I dont have much to write about this project at this moment.
My mind is having a conflict as for how many characters the game shall have (min. 2 max. 4) and how long I'm going to make the game.
It will probably be quite short with your fair deal of grinding.
I am trying to make the game look NES'ish (read final fantasy) but I'm not going to care if I'm making sprites the 'wrong' size etc. etc.
If Freemax has time I'm going to ask him to do a couple of tracks for the project, otherwise it'll be soundless.
That peach synthesizer caught my interest.
What's done:
scrolling engine
320*240 resolution with scale2x
Hardware independent game timing
What to do:
Tiles
Sprites
Finish the last piece left on the mapeditor
Fightengine
Define a story
The blonde unnamed hero (with sideburns!)

Heh, I was very tempted to go down the NES route myself :) The sprite looks very authentic! _________________ http://www.distractionware.com

it's pretty funny ;P
the left/right walking animation looks pretty good, but the up/down one looks a bit funny to me (graphics were generally charming)
i look forward to seeing you make something more extended of this :)

lol, it was only a few seconds play but I really enjoyed it, solid movement and the lack of features was half the fun :D _________________ My Site - My dA - Edward

No new screenshots as I dont really have any graphic to show but I feel like telling you that I am making progress with the fighting engine.
The basic attack and get hit is done and if everything goes as planned I should have magic fixed quite soon. _________________

It's about time I post some news about the project. I have probably re-coded mostly everything since I posted the last time. Both the fighting engine and ingame menues has had an overhaul. All the shops works.
The fights works, you can gain exp, levelup and get the crap beaten out of you. Still no magic or skills yet thought.
I recoded the mapeditor for the game yesterday, making it helluva easier for me to connect maps to each other.
A dude called Lachie gives me some help with the graphics, mostly enemies, and I believe that Freemax has started to make some tunes for the game. _________________
