My 48 hour sidescroller project: Feyna's School Project
The engine, artwork, music and sound effects taken from my previous project Feyna's Quest. I started modifying the engine at the beginning of the month in anticipation of a larger project. Then the contest was announced and I decided to use the modified engine for the contest. Due to time pressure, had to cut several engine features that were already mostly done, but too buggy to use.
I started work at 0:00 local time on Saturday, finished at 18:00 on Sunday, uploaded at 21:00 with three hours to spare. During that time I created all the maps, wrote the dialogue, tested and balanced the game, and fixed several engine bugs.
I never got around to testing the game on another computer, so there may be distribution issues. Current download is Windows only; Mac (and possibly Linux) download will follow. Requires OpenGL. Will post screenshots later.
The game is finished, so I don't intend to work on it any more except to fix bugs. I do intend to keep working on the engine for another game project.

Absolutely gorgeous game man! Excelent work from what I've seen so far. Haven't played much yet but will definitely play through as much of it as i can.
You've got an emphatic thumbs up from me :) _________________ Life is what happens while you're waiting for the stress to subside...

Yikes, disregard that release! I temporarily moved the starting point of the game to the end for testing, then forgot to move it back.
Fixed version, same url: Feyna's School Project.

This was really nice, and quite big too. The graphics is great, and the gameplay works well. The jumping is a bit too difficult at times though - maybe it would work better if you didn't collide with stuff from below...
But all in all, very well done! _________________ www.mattiasgustavsson.com - My blog

Pretty impressive--I love the character graphics!
One gameplay complaint--the giant floating spore balls move way too fast considering how dangerous they are, how numerous they are, and considering how slowly Feyna shoots.

My only complaint with this game is that if I "Try Again" I am locked into saving over my good game. I don't know if this is intentional or not.
I tried to make it all the way through before reviewing, but my long run game is lost now. My opinion is that this game is incredible. The gameplay is well balanced, it is very challenging, plenty of Oh Crap moments that end in victory and enough failures and escape routes to warrant the difficulty and keep things exciting.
My only request would be a regular save and load feature due to the difficulty and size of the game. :)
Oh, and thanks for the Mac port! _________________ As seen on TV

My game is stuck due to some fatal bug. I was charging the attack and entered the door to the Angel-Boss. The character fell to an all black screen(can't get out and game saved there)
Had no internet for a few days so i stopped playing.
