Well, I didn't have enough time for - you know - anything resembling "gameplay." So it ended up more of a tech demo. But I thought I'd include it here, especially as I intend to keep tinkering with it over the next few weeks:
Basically I've got the equivalent of the Winchester Mystery Mansion you can walk through (and up and down and up and down...) right now... with unfortunately very little furniture or other decorations to help keep you from getting lost.
The "demo" can be used to help induce sleep. There's not much point in it right now:
The Manor v. 01
Unzip it and run the executable. The cursor control keys is all there is - you can only move up and down on stairs. _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

This is a good concept. I think a pretty impressive RPG could result from this, I really like the feel of it. I like the artwork as well. _________________ As seen on TV

The link doesn't work, but the one in the main competition thread does.
I like the general look of this, reminds me a bit of the old "little computer people". The controls need some work I think, as it is feels a bit awkward going up/down the stairs... _________________ www.mattiasgustavsson.com - My blog

Yep, I especially don't like the "jump" as you go up or down stairs - or the fact that it doesn't work when you are close but not in the same square.
I corrected the link. Thanks for the heads-up. And the encouragement. :) _________________ Tales of the Rampant Coyote - Old-School Game Developer talks Indie Games, RPGs, and the Games Biz

Some strange behavior when pushing the up/down arrows while one the stairs. One time I managed to fall down vertically by doing this. Nice fountain though.
