Hallo,
I've been lurking for several weeks now since Mandrake first introduced me to RPGDX. I figure now would be a good time to introduce myself and my project =)
(thanks to halo/mandrake for the space)
In this game you play as Rueben Haelsturm, the one chosen and championed by the gods... you are the defender of faith. Blessed with both wisdom and valor, you must defend your country from Exodus, the mad king who vows to free humanity from all bounds by destroying all traces of religions. Will you be a mere pawn of religions or will you join arms with your archnemesis, Exodus, and defy the supremacy of the gods?
anyway, pleased to meet you all :D

I especially like the backgrounds in battle and picture of the woman. Nice! I like how the screenshots fits together and how the unique graphical style is maintained in all shots.
I would really like to know more about your project though, like storyline, and if there are any cool stuff in the battle system which is not so FF-ish?

the battle-system, while based on the FF series, has been slightly changed to fit my needs. I introduced the formation system, which while not entirely original, differentiates the game from Final Fantasy. The formations that have been implemented so far are the Line Formation, box Formation, and the Flanking Formation (yes, i've been playing AoE2
for a while :p.) These formations work just like spells, when they're used they will add benefits and disadvantages to the entire party. For example the Line Formation will increase your Strength by 20%, Defense by 5%, but will decrese your Dexterity and Mobility by 20%. Statistics will be reseted to normal upon usage of other formations, so there's no additive benefits/disadvantages.
It's a little bit hard to summarize the storyline, but i'll tell you this: it's about religion and its sociopolitical use. Demo'll be out in December, so I suggest you just wait and see =)
Mandrake: I'm just.. *cough* shy :p

thanks =)
Nah, it's not a solo project. The engine's not mine, it belongs to James Paige of OHRRPGCE. I also have a friend that helps me with the text (proofreading, editing, etc.) I'm mainly responsible for the visual design of the game, as well as the gameplay design.

Looks great!
But, maybe next time you could place that 'Motherland on the bottom of the picture... Then I don't need to be watching at that scrolling bar. :)
Oh I see her nose looks all... Angled. But expect for that and the white line around her, I love it!

The thing that I find really impressive is how you managed to compress an correctly proportioned human figure into a tiny 20x20 tile. I've been trying to do that with the 16x32 sprites used in my ARC games and have pretty much failed horribly (perhaps I should stop trying to draw eyes).
