* After an (expensive) MRI and a visit with a neurologist, it turns out my wife has just a severe inner ear infection. Since there was always the fear that it could have been something worse, we're grateful.

* My job is sending me to Puerto Rico for a couple of weeks for an install. I'm not thrilled by the idea, but it'll get me out of the cold and snow for a while, and I'm very grateful to have a job in this economy. So ... again... I'm grateful.

So... it could be worse. I'm not going to complain.

Hey RC, what part of PR you gonna be in? You'll love the heat here! And if you get the chance, check out one of the hundreds of beaches full of lovely Latinas! :)

Ponce.

I've never been to Puerto Rico before, so it's all a new experience. Hopefully I won't be working 'round the clock the whole time, and will actually have a little bit of time to sight-see.

Ooh, out of the frying pan and into the fire. Ponce is one of the hottest areas of PR, as it's in the deep south. The place is huge too.

The deep south being, what, about 50 miles from the far north? :)

I'm sure it'll be a good trip. Now if only I could remember any Spanish from Junior High...
