Lemme get my big project out the door, first. The one I've been working on forever, and hope to have it out by the end of the year... *snicker* *hah* - Nah, really ain't happening, but I can hope to be in beta by then.... ;)

But I do think I need a remedial course on "getting a game done quickly."

Do you know where you're going with the game?

Yep. That's not the issue. The issue is the long, hard slog from point A to Z. It's setting, planning, and keeping (for myself and others) those intermediate milestones that keeps tripping me up.

Looks great, I like the pixelated style.

Though when I first saw Regan I read it as "Reagan".
Yeah, me too. I thought the player was able to summon old presidents :D

Dude, now THAT is a game idea. Like Final Fantasy's cinematic summoning spells...

That could be really funny! I just thought of a few ideas for that:

President Adams's summon attack could the Alien and Sedition Thwack: it deals large amounts of damage to a single target critical of the government.

President Reagan's summon attack could be Strategic Defense Initiative--it would cost billions of magic points and do absolutely nothing.

President George W. Bush's summon attack would be Outsource: another party appears and finishes the battle for you, then takes all of the gold and experience.

President Obama's summon attack would be Bailout: it takes half your party's gold and gives it to the enemy. The enemy recovers its lost hit points. In exchange, your team regenerates hit points for the rest of the battle.

I'm working on a new RPG this month. For some reason uploading screenshots to the project page is broken on RPGDX, so I figured I'd just start a thread instead.

I think the storage quota has been reached.

I had a favorable opinion towards Coolidge, but I just found out this morning how our government killed 10,000 citizens with poison during his watch.

"We were just trying to scare 'em!"

I'm still in line for Reagan. I mean Star Wars and Reaganomics, can't go wrong with those. ^_^

I tried to upload some images too and had the same problem. You must be right. ^_^

Holy crap! That sounds like the basis for an RPG in and of itself. Your party has to stop the president from poisoning the citizenry.

Heh - I like the subtlety of it. It wasn't a deliberate attempt to hurt people - it was simply an attempt to effectively enforce a law through deadly force as a 'deterrent.'

I'm sure it worked.

But do the ends justify the means?

Hmm, maybe I can have all the bosses be US presidents...

Making progress. Not finished yet...

Only for purposes of legitimate self-defense.

Terry: it's starting to come out pretty well, now.
