Hey guys!
You probably don't remember me at all! I'm Fooolking, I used to be one of X-mark's many slaves.
I thought I'd try my hand at sprites. Oddly enough this is my extra virginal first-time sprite experience. I mostly helped X-mark out with full screen art (which I can honestly say I'm a little embarrassed of...) back in the day.
So without further ado, let's break that...pixel...ehh, Let's not go there.
I drew this concept during lunch at work. Don't mind the roughness; I'm still not used to drawing on a tablet.
Now for time for a cheesy 32x48 sprite!
Lastly, I did a walk cycle before I left work!
Hah! I didn't spend more than an hour and change on these three pieces (note the change in model), it's all for fun!
I'll try to post something silly tomorrow. _________________ Never milk cows that have uni-brows.

Looks pretty good! His lower lip kind of threw me off (thought it was a tongue at first glance), mostly due to the color I think. Nice design overall though. In the walk animation, are his arms moving at the same time as the respective leg or moving separately? (they should be separate) It's kind of hard to tell. Maybe darken the back leg more?
I remember your name from back in the day. :) I did some art for XMark as well, albeit more recently... pixel art, tile stuff mostly. Guess that makes me a lackey as well, hah. You did the full-screen cels for the ARC Legacy remake, right?
Good to see ya around!

Yep that's me! I also did a few of the monster sprites. I think there was some flamingo thing...and a turd-beetle...I can't remember them all.
Ahh! It was a quick 10 minute sketch, but I did miss one of my quirks as you pointed out! I always make the lower lip over dark and heavy on lines when it's quite light (for some people) and soft in nature.
You don't know how often I got chewed out in anatomy class all those years ago!
For you Josiah! I've changed it....well...somewhat! (I'm to lazy with my precious lunch time to change it properly..)
I adjusted the colour on the walk's back leg so you can see it too (it is hard to see that the close arm and leg aren't moving in the same direction...), but I can't get it to loop properly anymore. Heh. I work professionally with Flash and Toonboom for animation on TV...you'd think I'd be able to make a GIF loop successfully.
Also! In tribute to X-mark I tried to sprite Bokk (Sp?) in the first 15 minutes of my lunch-break...with a carrot in my mouth the entire time.
So here is a homage to one of my favourite Arc-characters. (TM X-mark)
Also, in the few minutes of my typing this message...and finally eating my carrot. I managed to crap-up Bokk ready for battle!
It's good hearing from you Josiah! _________________ Never milk cows that have uni-brows.

Hah, impressive!
Nice job on the edits; both issues look much clearer now. :)

The sprite-fever continues...
We had a lunch contest at work to draw 'something' to battle with...here is my sprite sherman-tank.
I also drew a banana...wearing a banana-hammock with two SMGs...but, I'll save that one for later.

Heh! Might as well post some more doodles.
This is my pre BBQ Saturday warm-up...
Bokk charging!
and another quick photo-shop doodle. I'm getting the hang of drawing on a tablet...but it still feels like a handicap. I guess it's hard to replace a piece of paper.

Heh! I'm a bit lazy today so here are some doodles I did roughly one year ago..
These concepts were for an Aladdin 'inspired' indie RP I was going to make with a pal of mine...
I think we got as far as me drawing these quick 5 minute doodles one afternoon.
Main character along with the 'stage wizard' that fought with fireworks...and bombs.
Chick...and cliche big guy with barrel.
Redesign of chick...who doesn't want a BBW?
The bad guy?
We had the concept to add in various optional Djinn or Genie boss dungeons and encounters to unlock various 'epic' weapons for party members...

Haha! I was trying to conceptualize a vengeful dwarf butcher...but it turned into something else.
There is only so much you can do with a quick doodle I suppose.
