Here's a Simple Tree Creator Program I found on a Blitz3D forum.
Looks like it can create some great low poly trees. The only problem is that it exports to .b3d so you'll have to do some converting.

I'm gonna give it a try and see if it can make some good trees for my next game. _________________ Mao Mao Games

Interesting. The better tree (or general plant) generators that I found all cost money, and the free ones barely seemed to produce usable results.

Yeah from what I have played with it, it looks pretty good so far. ^^ I just tried some regular deciduous trees, but it doesn't work so well with things like Palm Trees. They're not that hard to model though.
EDIT: There we go a quick 10 minute Palm Tree. ^o^

A palm tree shouldn't be all that hard. You have the trunk, a couple coconuts at the branch bases, then four or five leaf clusters at the top like a star. Just treat your tree as if you're opening an umbrella :p _________________ Chameleon, on the floor, writhing with a blood-stained neckline. Glowing eyes stare unto this changing one.

Exactly they're easy to model, I was just referring to the context of the tree generator. It's a shame it can only do deciduous type trees, but I suppose you can't expect everything from a free tool. _________________ Mao Mao Games

I spotted another low poly tree creator on GameDev.
This one is the Kraut Tree Editor, and it is able to do a large assortment of trees including cacti and palm trees. :D

That's quite a bit more impressive. :) _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. The scary part is that if you play it forwards it installs Windows. - wallace

Yes, I'm definitely going to try it out once I need to add some trees to the environment I'm working on. ^^ _________________ Mao Mao Games
