Hey guys, big update: There's now a playable demo for Google chrome browser and Windows! http://www.bridgeunitorzo.com/worlds-beyond-demo

I also open sourced the C++ application, so people on Linux can try compiling it themselves: https://github.com/cha0s6983/Worlds-Beyond

Unfortunately, tcaudilllg won't be able to participate in our demo because he doesn't know what V8 is or how to use it... wait, what? :) hahaha.

Strange, downloading it with Firefox gave me a corrupt one too, but using wget it worked fine. This is the first time I've gotten the report... strange.

EDIT: tried again in Ffx and it worked fine. So that's even weirder!

I have tried it with both FF and IE with the same result both today and yesterday :(.
Sure I did test it quickly on the site but I really want to fullscreen the hell out of it :p.

Hey Box, that's sad to hear! I'm creating the .zip file with 7zip on Windows. I just tried it again and it's working fine! I really don't know what to say... are you using Windows built in zip extraction? Maybe that's the problem...

Nah, I'm using Winrar.
The thing is that I could download it without any problems right now and it was a way more speedy affair than yesterday.

Anyhow, I could get the program to start when I had it in my user directory. SDL complained about that it couldn't open the font file.
I tried moving to another folder outside my user directory and voila it works. So my question is does the game not handle characters like å,ä and ö in the paths?

Just thought I'd have a rummage through the forums and I have to say I really liked the look of this.

It's a pity the kickstarter/game? got cancelled :(
