Hi, I am a 2d Artist looking for a coder intersted in coding a CRPG engine and game with me. I have some experience in 2d art in the style of ff2/bof and would love to work with a coder on an original console rpg in the style of these great games that many people can enjoy for free. I am easy going and easy to get along with. This will be a part time project for me as I have a full time job in carpentry. I can be contacted by email anytime @ killergoat_389@yahoo.com or on AOL IM @ killergoat389 on Mondays/Thursdays after 5 P.M. . I would love to work with someone who shares the same views and time frame as me as it will be easier to communicate. Thx and I hope to hear from you soon!

I'm a coder and I might be willing to help you. I had several other projects on queue, but what the hell. I'll be busy summer mornings because I'm taking a college course on C++ (imagine that) and then in July I'll be going to Colorado for a couple weeks. After five weeks of the C++ class, I'll be taking a two week course on 3D animation. Whee! :)

After you finish that course Ninkazu, do you want to start making some 3D stuff for the Hearts Of The Just game?

If I have the time.... my friend has a zillion ideas for games to make, and he already has music and graphics done and everything like that, so all he needs me to do is program. His projects are very complex and advanced too, so maybe I'll be able to model while I'm trying to blow off some steam from code that won't work, heh.

And, to killergoat, I really don't see a need to email you, I'll just post it here since it's easier, and also everyone else can see just what pisses me off.

I'm going to mark my calendar, this is a momentous day. An artist came around a programming board looking for a programmer. Has this EVER happened before?

;p

I've been playing with MS3d lately, I'm only playing with MD2 models though, I know you have md3's in your demo. What are you going to use for level? BSP/quake levels?[/b]

Currently I'm using MD2 models in the engine, I'm probably going to move over to MD3 so that I can use multi-part models for legs/torso/head/weapon (as is done with Quake 3). As for the level format, I'm as yet unsure- but if I'm going to go with Quake 3 models I'm thinking that I may as well go with the Quake 3 BSP format.

If you feel up to designing any levels or models for me, let me know.

I wouldn't mind whipping up a little engine in my spare time. I know lotsa VB and enough C++ and Allegro... if I can be of service, please let me know.

And this is a momentous day... I'd never have guessed that an artist would come looking for a programmer. *goes and marks off line of list of things to do before dying*

Oh, and don't say 5 pm... 5 pm in Thailand? Switzerland? GMT? What?!? :)

Didn't someone invent "internet time" to solve that exact problem?

No not GMT. Didn't Swatch or some other company try to introduce something that was called "Internet Time". I remember hearing about it a few years back. Don't know what ever happened with it though.

Why shouldn't that be the same as GMT?
