Currencey: None. Actually, there are several forms of currency, but they are completely useless. The Galranian dollar has recently collapsed, and Sephulod Bobble Beads are only exchangeable for other Sephulod Bobble Beads, and the garganchuan Pu. In fact, no one has ever owned one Pu, for a single Pu is made up of 100,500 Ningies, and each is roughly the size of jupiter (A large planet in the SOL sytem). To elaborate, Ningies are massive triangular rubber, pink coins the size of jupiter. Therefor, noone has ever collected enough ningies to own one Pu.

LOL. Rather freaky you put say that. I found my Hitchhikers Guide Radio Series CD's and I'm sitting here at work listening to them right now. Arthur and Ford are currently listening to some Vogon poetry.

The argument goes something like this...

I refuse to prove that I exist says god, for prove denies faith and without faith I am nothing. But said man the babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it, it proves you exist, therefore you dont, Q.E.D. Oh dear says god I hadnt thought of that and promptly disappears in a puff of logic. Oh that was easy says man and for an encore he proves that black is white and gets killed on the next zebra crossing.

@twinsen: That's exactly how they put it in the movie. Are you sure you aren't watching the movie?

Nope. I'm definitely listening to the radio series. The radio series came first, the TV series was pretty much the radio series (Episodes 1-6) word for word. Didn't like it much though because Trillian was played by some dumb looking blonde bimbo. *SHRUGS* Always pictured her as an intelligent brunette in the radio version.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizzarely inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

There is yet a third theory which suggests that both of the first two theories were concocted by a wilely editor of the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, in order to increase the level of universal uncertainty and paranoia and so boost the sales of the guide.

This last theory is of course the most convincing. Because the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, is the only book in the whole of the known universe to have the words "Dont Panic" inscribed in large friendly letters on the cover.

Whoa, I didn't read all that, but I'll just give a little bit of insight into the workings of my mind:

I believe that I'm not going to believe that there's a divine being until He strikes me with lightning, etc.

I think that religion does serve a purpose, and that is to teach morals. Without morals, this world would be one big nuclear wasteland by now, most likely.

I think that any form of superstition is caused by a lack of knowledge, and that all things can be explained by science in some way. All things are logical in the utmost end, and there is nothing that cannot be rationally explained by proof to be unrelated to any sort of paranormal behavior etc.
