The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner.
Well? I'm going to the book-store tomorrow and need to know what I should pick up.

(I would say somthing like 'the sun also rises' or 'Of mice and men' but it seems kind of presumptious, since they were good books, but not my favorites. Besides I've read thousands of novels in my life, I really don't have favorites anymore)
And this php book I just read was pretty good ;P
EDIT: Looks like J.P. has some very refined taste in reading material, he should ignore my list -> Vinge and McCleod are the best, most literary writers in that group. I tried to read a Henry James novel one time but I couldn't endure the one sentence paragraphs that were a half page long.
