Mandrake, I don't recall an email from you about problems with the FTP. Please supply me with the details if you want me to try and look for a solution.

And Happy, I don't know him other than he's in the about section of RPGDX, telling he once started a static site like this together with Mandrake. Though his language suggests otherwise, he must be ok.

That's happy noodle boy. :). It's a real (filler) comic too :). People paid money for that stuff :).

('course I only know 'cause my brief obsession with Invader Zim way back when :) ).

Hmm, now that you mention I do remember seeing Invader Zim a couple of time and that thing does look familiar....

Happy Noodle boy is from Jonny the homocidal maniac, duh. It's only the best comic for angst ridden goths with no life.

Might have to do with the fact that I was using the ftp abilities with IE. Cause i'm too lazy to buy a copy of CuteFTP, or hook up my Linux boxen to the internet.

But either way, I enter my user name, then password, and then it says there is no such thing.

Happy, et al who are wondering what's up with me: still without internet access, right now I'm at the library and using the internet from there. I'm having a hrd time coding right now because of a death in the family taking up all my freetime. But I do plan on having something done BEFORE the end of august. Maybe not done-done, but something to show all youse guys.

The books- well, being bickered over with my publishing house. They don't plan on backing it worth salt, and are dropping the royalties ALOT. So I'm pissed and yelling and such. and I'm yelling at them and my agent to actually draw up a contract this time...no more word is bond crap.

GiaEdit is gone, it was too much all at once. Way too abstract, and not really worth it in the end. I do have some plans for the Changeling and some other smaller RPG's. But, you will all just have to wait and see. Or bug the crap out of me.

Why not just download WinSCP? Thats what I use. Its free and a more secure method at any rate.

Ok, that's certainly the problem, I had no luck with it myself and Håkan was having trouble with IE too. I think basically, anything else will work.

When you login with IE it uses the format 'ftp://username@ftpsite' therefore I believe that IE might get confused if there is a @ in the username. so if I type: whitedoor@rpgdx.net@ftp.rpgdx.net IE got confused. and it tries to log in to rpgdx.net with the username whitedoor, instead of whitedoor@rpgdx.net.

I found it only worked with ie if:
1. I go to:

ftp://ftp.rpgdx.net

2. Then I log in with my user name and password using the file menu.

even then it was quite sensative to stuff.

But yeah.. there are quite a few free ftp programs.. some better than others.. but one of them should work...
