I'm back.

Well, at least I _THINK_ I'm back.

At least until my _NEXT_ PC misadventure> :\

I'm guessing that you wan't to know why I've been absent?
Yes? No? Ah, well, here goes:

I believe the last time I was here I had said that I got a new laptop for my birthday...

Anyway, some a$$hole emailed me a virus saying that it was his "contribution to the team", called uquest.exe

Gee, this thing played havoc with my lovely new laptop, and killed it within 4 hours.

I WAS PISSED; To say the least.

Well after about 7 hours of reinstalling, and configuring, I got my laptop back to "new" (minus all the data that I had been working on at the time; which was due to be backed up to a CDR, 45 minutes from the "death" of my laptop)

Okay, so I got it all fixed.

Then this new f*ckin worm/virii sh!t comes out and wipes out any usefulness of all 3 of my comps!!!

Well, I beat that damned thing today. (finally)

heh DeveloperX.GeniusCoder.exe vs. Shitty.Worm.exe .... lol j/k

Now that I've gotten my systems back to working order, removed all trojans/virii/worms/etc from my pcs, I'm happy.

I have been working hard to perfect my 3d modeling skills, my sprite drawing skills, my coding skills, my level/puzzle designing skills, etc...

Lets just say that I've been hard at work. heh.

I don't know how many of the old team are still willing.....but I'm in need of:

3D Environment / Level Designers (preferably using 3dsmax, or similar)
for Post-Nuclear War Urban Environment Levels

2D Texture Artists (using Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or any other capable app)
for High-Res Textures (256x256x32bit) for the environments, character models, item models, etc...

C++ Programmers experienced with coding:
- BSP rendering algorithms
- DirectX 9.0 ++

I need at least 2 level designers, 2-3 texture artists, 3-5 programmers

on a side note: Bjorn, I was wondering, since I've made CCPS Solutions "legal", do I have to find another host? or can I stay at rpgdx?
I don't intend to do e-commerce, just host demo downloads, tutorials, and of course my website (which is being completely redone..)

Well, I hope to be seeing more of this place.
I'm tired.
Later all..

gametutorials.com has stuff about BSP trees, but I didn't look to see if it was in DX9, just OpenGL.

Ah, welcome back DeveloperX. Sure you can stay hosted at rpgdx.net, no problem there. Just don't host your multi-million 100 MB downloads when you get to them. ;-)

Yep the only tutes I've seen on there are OpenGl. If it was ME starting a 3d project I'd go straight to OGRE, but thats just me.

been there, doesn't fit the bill, as I need to use dx9 (bummer I know) because my video card doesn't support ogl. (screams)
I'll get a new laptop once I get more $$, but for now I'm stuck.

well, I'll be reworking my site, and once I get it done, I'll upload it, and announce it.

I am working on a couple of projects atm, and time is not easy to find, but as I said, as long as no idiot wants to send me virii,, I'll be back here at rpgdx. :)

laters,
