- Well, it's been a few days.
- Meh.
- By the way, the JPEG compression is blurring the images. They're actually much sharper than this.
Further explanation
- Merry Christmas.. err... a lil' late I guess. XD[/url] _________________ - Jaeda

Looks really good. For some reason, Setara reminds me of Chou from Rurouni Kenshin. ^_^ _________________ http://www.weeaboo.se

- Thanks. It's just a temp that I'm using to get the blending settings right, and I half-assed it just to get the general idea of where ground ends and 'background' begins. :) Thanks though. The whole "power of 2" bit has taken some time to get used to. (my 640x480 images are actually taken apart on load and made into a 512x512+128x512 and encapsulated into a class FullScreen. Oh so sexy)
- And who is Chou? I haven't Rendered Setara Pixel yet. That's Rei. The face is Yasashii. It's just that Setara is character(0) so it's placeholder stuff. :) _________________ - Jaeda

Well, whoever it is sure reminds me of Chou who, by the way, is one crazy sword collector with a nice attitude. I think it's that expression on her face along with the swords that make her resemble Chou.
From the "powers of 2" stuff, I'm assuming you are using OpenGL for graphics? I spent 20 minutes looking all over your site for info about this but found nothing. _________________ http://www.weeaboo.se

- Yeah, I haven't made an update to the Unmei Densetsu site because I don't have enough screens. That's why I'm trying to get so many menus done, so I can make a generic update to the whole section to the site.
- Yes, I'm using OpenGL. Fun stuff.
- And it was probably too early in the morning that's why I didn't get who you were talking about. Chou, eh? Hmm... Well... she doesn't have some super-special snake swords or anything, Yasashii's just the generic super-Samurai... but since her species is super-human in strength (though I also tried to emphasize her strength by making her muscular, unlike most) it even makes her more uber, since her swords are .. heavy. :) _________________ - Jaeda

More of a "soft, kind, gentle, easy" word.

- Hee hee.. I wanted the "Gentle" definition. I saw "Easy", but it's not meant to be. That "misunderstanding" will come up, though. :)
- And thanks. Actually, since Taiyese children are given 2 names, their middle name, then their first name, their middle name at birth, and their first name as they develop, she was gentle when she was young, but she's rather abrupt now. :) _________________ - Jaeda

The full size portraits are extremely well done. They have a lot of personality.
Overall, very nice feel. The only things that look kind of out of place are the hand cursor in the menu (it seems huge), and the font (it's kind of jerky and misaligned, but I'm sure you can fix that)

- Meh.
- Battle Engine is up partially. The ATB inner-class is nice. Wow, I love OO. This is coming along much better than it was in QB. I just think in an OO fashion. =T
- I'm actually going to implement my Sprite class in a moment here, after finishing this message, so I should start actually having some Icons and animation in there. :) _________________ - Jaeda

you should try OOP in Python. You can do really funky things, like meta-classes, creating virtual functions for classes (so that you can add a function at run-time, changeing a class) as well as virtual varaibles (so like, you can add varaibles at run time as well....)
It's like OO on herion.
Nice looking game btw, I always thought you art fared better in higher res's. _________________ "Well, last time I flicked on a lighter, I'm pretty sure I didn't create a black hole."-

- I've never used Python before...
- And thanks. I've got a bit of help coming with some art from some of the people from the GDC who won't be working on projects now, so I'm hoping (really hoping) that'll expedict the production of a playable Demo. _________________ - Jaeda
