Please don't post such lengthy amounts of source code. A link to the file would have been quite bit more appropriate.

Why? the board didn't explode. The thread seemed pretty much dead anyway, I don't see how me posting that much code is destructive in any way. _________________ "Well, last time I flicked on a lighter, I'm pretty sure I didn't create a black hole."-

ika's source code contains a nice library for manipulating an xmlish format called aries. really easy to manually edit in notepad, and pretty efficient too. (ika uses it for most of its formats) I'd give you a link, but you'll have to grab it out of cvs.

It isn't. It would just be more convenient when distributed as a plain text file in my opinion. It's not like the code is interesting to read.

Yeah I probably should've uploaded it and linked it. But I was feeling lazy, and it was easier to cut and paste. I'll upload and link it leter today and remove the code. _________________ "Well, last time I flicked on a lighter, I'm pretty sure I didn't create a black hole."-

guess you never did this, and i'm reading old thread land.
this thread is actually quite good, brings up a good problem to have. how scalable are the data structures and code that uses them in the routines and data that you use in your codebase?
