By 'personal blog', I wasn't intending it to become another emo-fest that is present on almost all blogging communities. Instead, I was referring to random thoughts and funnies that we've come across, or a place to blow off steam about working in a strict programming office, or to write about algorithms / engines that have nothing to do with the project we're developing.

To be short, I meant a journal where we could post both development-related and development-unrelated entries, but the entries would still be programming related.

We've got a better opinion of Bjorn than that I hope! Seriously, that's partly why that forum is there. You're right, it's messy, but it's a tried and tested method of dev-logging.

I dunno... a dev log sounds great, but a personal journal of which boy has a crush on you doesn't seem like something that'd fit in with a developement site. ;)

That's where having a categorization feature of (b)log posts would be useful; then you can filter the posts you see by the particular subset of categories that interest you. Think "labels" in gmail, or that thing that del.icio.us does with its links.

Heh, true, I very much welcome anyone posting a developers log as I think there will be enough that read it with interest. People have "hijacked" their own thread for stories and logs before and they don't have to be afraid of me disagreeing with that.

This is more or less off-topic, but would it be possible to add a version history to our project pages? Some way of measuring how often a project is updated would be interesting as well, to know which projects are active and which have pretty much died down (this more or less being the reason for the version history I'm proposing.)

Also, where DOES the website show up? Maybe I haven't hunted around hard enough, but I've never actually seen it show up anywhere. :P

The website, not the project itself. Clicking on those only leads to the project page (unless I'm looking at the wrong thing ;) ) There's a field to enter a website url for the project when building the page, but it doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the actual project page.

It's at the top, handily titled website :). It's right next to the download link, in that info bit at the top. I thought it stood out ok.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I see what you're asking.
the link is on the project page up at the top by the link to download the project's demo/release

Ahh, I see!

That seems to be a problem for projects without a downloadable release, that require signing up one way or another, or that is betatester-only, though: without a download link, it doesn't seem to show up.

Probably where the confusion stems from... :P
