She might just end up in a sequel to an old game. I'm not yet sure if I'm gonna do the game or not yet. And yeah... her hair is abnormally big. _________________

Where's your light source? Looks like she's shining on all directions.

Very nice. I can definately see a huge improvement. The light source is vague as Ninkazu said, but it is there-- It seems to suggest an upper-right source (which is what I use as well), but yes, a better defined source would probably help. If you're looking for critique, that is.

Creative critique is always wanted Josiah.
I did the light source vague on purpouse as I first meant to make a background to the image. That scene would have been a cave with snow a lightgiving crystal's and therefore the undefined light source. _________________

Looks good. It reminds me of the classic Final Fantasy games. _________________ "Sometimes it is better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness."

In what way does it remind you of the old FF? _________________

Perhaps from the drawing style...it does have some resemblance to the original FF. _________________ If you play a Microsoft CD backwards you can hear demonic voices. The scary part is that if you play it forwards it installs Windows. - wallace

I dunno, I'd say it's pretty far from any early FF game as far as art style goes. They tended to be posed in a much more mid-action-ish way, have more little bits of detail throughout and shaded with more contrast. This sprite actually reminds me more of a monster out of Phantasy Star II; definately not in terms of theme or character, but just the way it's shaded and colored. Of course, as far as character/concept goes I wouldn't say this really fits either game's style... Which is probably a good thing. :)

I agree, it does have the action game type sprite look. But either way, I'm sure you'll somehow manage to fit it into your game.

Er, I actually meant that alot of the old FF sprites had more action-ish poses, as in very dynamic and mid-movement looking, if that makes any sense. Though now that you mention it, this sprite does have much more of an action/fighter feel to it. It would work fine for an RPG as well, though.

If this particular sprite will appear in the game it will probably be in a cutscene or something I think. _________________
