I'm about 90% finished at the moment. Got all the maps done and most of the scripting. Just gotta add more trivial NPC's and details, and script the final confrontation with the killer. It's gonna be done. Oh yes. _________________ Mark Hall

We're working 24h at the moment, minus a bit of sleep. A lot still needs to be done, but we're getting there. Engine and editor running on both Linux and Win32, snow effect done, outside area covered in snow, part of the little story implemented, all dead bodies finished (see our latest update, Blues Brothers RPG :-)), etc. Still need to work on foot steps in the snow and a lot of story/combat and playability stuff.
In short, we'll finish something. :-)

I won't be entering. I think the world dosen't need another poobum :P. Ill take the time to do it right instead of having a rushed game with all dialogue done an hour before it was due. _________________ https://numbatlogic.com

I wish I was as persistant as Bjørn...there won't be an entry from me. I realized that sometime about mid-december. _________________ http://www.weeaboo.se

Who, Razor-X?
Heh... He's a coolish guy to talk to as long as you don't mention any projects (He'll whine and beg to help out then either back out or just not deliver at the final moments), don't mention any new things you might've gotten (He'll get whiny and jealous/get depressed because he doesn't have one), and don't mention to him that he does any of the above- He'll start saying things like "Why don't you like me" etc... And to tell the truth, he keeps saying he can code but I've never seen anything of his... At all... Huh.
(and like all people of his age I suppose he'll learn the hard way that typing things like 'r u' instead of the full sentance garns alot less respect and doesn't take too much longer to type... at all...)
Anyway, back on topic, I've got enough on the go already, thank you very much, heh.
I never found compos very appealing... I've never entered one, but it would seem like it'd be too pressing, stressful, and... Ugh. Think I'll leave compos alone for quite awhile, heh.

I guess I'll agree with you up to a certain point. It surprised the heck out of me just how much work I had to put into this game with about 30 minutes of play time, even though I had my engine mostly complete at the start of the compo! And other stuff that I was working on (such as the Key soundtrack - Sorry, FRoG32!) had to be temporarily pushed aside.
However, it has served as a great learning experience for my main project (The ARC Legacy remake), especially concerning the scripting engine. Using the engine for its first released game, it exposed a lot of weaknesses in the scripting engine which I fixed up so it will be easier to complete The ARC Legacy. _________________ Mark Hall

Well if it's half as good as the arc legacy I'll be happy.
Just... Make sure you finish it...!

This is my first attempt at a 3d engine, so I struggled a bit for the first week or two. Around the 24th I thought I could make the deadline so I entered the contest, however, I ran into a snag and got overloaded at work. So I had no free time to work on the project.
So, nope, I didn't meet the challenge. But I did make good progress on the engine, so I'm happy.

Ill submit something, I don't know what it is, from the start it was a platform game with I decided compeat with for some reason... Then I added experiencepoints and such to the game so it would be more of an RPG but it got reeeealy booring.. so now it dont know what I should do, maybe many houres of balancing the game so I'll be some fun at least.. Good music though ;) _________________ Web: www.blinkenlights.se

Yo, I'm currently trapped at a new years' day party at my grandparents' house and it looks like I'll be home a little past midnight so I can't package the game together and upload it by the deadline. Could I get a teeny weeny extension for extenuating circumstances?
